Characteristics and performance of solar road studs
Characteristics of Solar Road Studs:
Ordinary reflective road studs have a luminous intensity of only 300-400 MCD, while solar road studs can reach more than 2000 MCD, 6-7 times that of the former. The high-intensity light can penetrate rain and fog at night, effectively guiding drivers' direction.
Active Lighting, Dynamic Warning
Solar road studs flash at a certain frequency at night, and human vision is more sensitive to changes, so their dynamic warning effect is very strong. Active lighting not only maximizes the avoidance of rain and fog interference, but also eliminates the dependence on car lights, resulting in a longer visible distance and better effect.
Solar road studs play a significant role in outlining road contours in rainy and foggy weather and on curves, guiding drivers' vision and eliminating safety hazards.
Environmental Adaptability
The operating environment of solar road studs is complex and changeable, with varying temperatures and humidity. Northern winters have very low temperatures, while southern summers are very hot. The temperature difference between day and night is particularly large in the northwest, while the southeast is humid and the northwest is dry. These factors can affect the normal operation of solar road studs, so their design should fully consider environmental adaptability.
The Ministry of Transport currently requires a temperature range of -20℃ to 85℃, and three cycles of testing between 20℃ and 60℃ to check whether it meets environmental requirements. The Ministry of Transport's requirements for the solar road studs' wet heat performance are that they can still operate normally after 48 hours of testing at 45℃ and 98% relative humidity.
The environmental adaptability of solar road studs is a comprehensive test of their mechanical and electrical performance, involving multiple aspects such as structural design, circuit design, electronic component performance, and even production processes. This requires all aspects of the work to be in place to ensure that the solar road studs have good environmental adaptability.

Solar roadblock lights mainly refer to warning lights used on highways. Also known as traffic safety warning lights, they are a type of traffic safety facility. They utilize solar panels for charging, storing energy in batteries. Primarily used for road maintenance and construction, or on roads with low visibility due to fog, their flashing lights warn drivers of roadblocks or unsafe road edges, guiding vehicles to maintain safe speeds and drive safely. At night and in rainy or foggy weather with insufficient sunlight, they automatically illuminate, effectively guiding vehicles in the correct direction and ensuring traffic safety.
